The purpose of the PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy Speciality Course is to polish a diver's buoyancy control beyond the Open Water Diver level. The goal of PADI Peak Performance Buoyancy training is to enhance the diver's buoyancy control abilities through knowledge development and practical skills practice.

During your Peak Performance Buoyancy Specialty course, you'll use PADI's Basic Weighting Guidelines to determine the correct amount of weight. Then you'll practice the fundamentals of peak performance buoyancy during two open water dives, including the buoyancy check, fine-tuning buoyancy underwater, weight positioning for trim, streamlining and visualization.

Requirements:

  • Be certified as a PADI Open Water Diver, Junior Open Water Diver or have a qualifying certification from another training organization.
  • Be 10 years of age or older.
  • be in good health and reasonably fit.
  • Please check the health requirements for this course.
  • If you have not been diving for 6 months we recommend you to take a quick scuba review in confined water to refresh your diving skills and knowledge.
  • Duration of course: 1½ day.
